For the course of June 2020, The German Marshall Fund’s 15th-anniversary edition of Brussels Forum convened 26 virtual sessions with over 80 expert speakers from a variety of backgrounds to discuss today’s pressing global challenges. With speakers including Debbie Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, Stacey Abrams and Pete Buttigieg, two political heavyweights in the current U.S. election cycle, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the minister of defense, Germany, Josep Borrell, the high representative for foreign and security policy and vice president, European Commission, Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary-general of NATO, and Margrethe Vestager, executive vice president for digital and competition policy, European Commission, this virtual Brussels Forum brought together the most impressive lineup in our 15-year history.

But the most important element of this insightful month of discussion was our audience, those individuals that tuned into our sessions across the world, submitted questions, and helped propel the transatlantic debate to the next level.
